My Dream Watch: Jeremy Scott x Swatch

Is it a bit silly that this was my dream watch instead of something by Cartier or Rolex? I've never been super into watches anyway, and let's be real, I will never have something so expensive (although it would be very nice). The watch I wanted was much more accessible to me, I just had to find it secondhand.

Jeremy Scott's first Swatch collection from 2011 featured three different designs: a lightning bolt, a portrait, and of course, wings.

The wings had previously been seen on sneakers, ballet flats, and more from Jeremy Scott x Adidas designs. I will forever be wishing for the ballet flats.

I've been a fan of Jeremy Scott since I was in high school when I'd see his designs all over my Tumblr dashboard, so I'm very excited to have this watch!

The wings have yellowed due to age (15 years if you haven't done the math) and the black lines have rubbed off a bit in some spots, but I hardly mind. I appreciated that it arrived from the Poshmark seller with a working battery. All I had to do was set it to my timezone.

And if I ever want a more simple, minimalist look, the wings are detachable.

I owed it to myself to finally buy this watch because I could have gotten it last year, but I didn't and I had regretted it ever since. One day, I had found a listing for it on eBay that was ending that same night. The current bid was very low. I was thinking about it all day. I watched the countdown, placed a bid, but it wasn't high enough. I decided to be financially responsible and let someone else get it instead. What made it hurt more was that the winning bid wasn't even that much higher than mine.

But I don't need to feel that regret anymore, because I finally have it now!
