Jack White Live in Brooklyn, July 11, 2026

Last Saturday, I got to see one of my favorite artists live for the sixth time: Jack White. It was amazing as always! My first time seeing Jack live was in 2019 when I was very lucky to get early entry and a spot at the barricade at a Raconteurs show, and since then I have seen him solo five times now.

Poster for Brooklyn night 1, which I did not purchase.

It was the first of two shows in Brooklyn, and the day after the release of his new album, Frozen Charlotte. I only had enough time to listen to it twice in full before the show, one day is not enough time to prepare to hear the songs live! My favorite track on the album is G.O.D. and the Broken Ribs, which I loved since it was released a few months back. I also have been very into You'll Never Fix Me and Neighbor's Blues.

I had been worried for months about what the weather was going to be like on this day. I cannot stand summer and July is my least favorite month, and the thought of either extreme heat or a thunderstorm ruining my concert day was stressing me out. Thankfully, it ended up being mostly dry and only about 80F (yes, ONLY. It was over 100 degrees here the weekend before).

After a very tasty grilled cheese for lunch, I got in line around 4pm. Slightly later than I wanted, but I ended up in the secondish/thirdish row anyway, so not bad at all.

Like most Jack White shows, this one was phone-free. As I mentioned, I've seen him live a bunch of times, so I was already well acquainted with the Yondr pouch that we have to lock our phones in as soon as we enter the venue. I'm not against phone free shows at all, I LOVE not having my view blocked by people recording the entire show to post on their Instagram story, but I actually loved when I saw Jack live during his last tour and we didn't need to lock up our phones in these pouches that are used by everyone else. I don't think most people worry about germs as much as I do, though. A lot of disinfecting wipes were used when I got home.

Now let's discuss the setlist, if you can even really call it a "setlist", since Jack never uses one. I was very excited to hear The Hardest Button To Button live, because I don't believe he's ever played that song at any previous shows I've attended. What's Done Is Done was also different to hear, and unfortunately for me, the only song he played from Boarding House Reach this time (I absolutely love that album). Every time I see Jack live, I hope for Black Math, one of my favorite songs ever. I was starting to think I wouldn't get to hear it this time because he usually plays it near the beginning of the show, and we were already several songs in. But he did play it! I always started screaming and jumping when I hear those first opening notes.

The full setlist. No Racs songs at all is a bit shocking!

Also, when the show started, I had noticed Jack's daughter, Scarlett, sitting a bit behind the stage with some friends. He brought her out to play bass on a few songs.

After the pre-encore break, "Frozen Charlatan" walked out, danced around, and threw stacks of some sort of made up currency at the crowd, before being kicked off stage by Jack. A girl in front of me caught a few bills of the fake money and gave me one, which I let my brother keep. The last time we saw Jack White together he caught a pick for me, so it only seemed fair. And speaking of picks, I didn't get one this time, but I did have one bounce off my hand.

After playing the stadium chant we've all been hearing everywhere for the entire duration of the World Cup, the show was over.

But what did I wear to see Jack White this time???

This was my outfit! Thank you Beverly for getting some cool shots of me. I bought this dress on Vinted a few months ago for only about $5. The skull print obviously reminded me of Alexander McQueen, and I thought it was very on theme for Frozen Charlotte. I decided to wear it with my black Jeffrey Campbell Litas, and they gave me a great amount of height that I always want so I can see better at concerts.

And by the way, shoutout the the cool person I saw in line at the venue wearing the ICONIC Unif "Jesus Saves, I Spend" top. I was super jealous, I've always wanted it.

Since my phone was locked up and I don't have any of my own photos from the show, here are some professional shots by the tour photographer, David James Swanson.
