OOTD: First Day of Spring in Philly
As the title suggests, this OOTD is from about a month ago.
When it comes to the warmer half of the year, I am the opposite of most people. It makes me miserable. I always dread the day the clocks jump forward an hour. It affects my mood so negatively, exactly how others might feel during a cold, dark winter. I prefer that cold, dark winter so much more than warm sunny days. When spring comes around, I mourn the coziness I felt since the early sunsets began that past September.
As an attempt to make myself feel better about the end of my favorite half of the year, I decided to put on a cute outfit and take the bus into Philadelphia for the day.
I wanted to make sure I wore something simple but still stylish and cool. Ripped Alexa Chung for AG skinny jeans, striped long sleeve, and a black blazer. No matter what I wear, this Alexander Wang Rocco bag will make sure that I look stylish and cool. It's definitely my go-to bag, you can just never go wrong with a leather studded bag! I also threw on a slouchy knit beanie and my other favorite Alexander accessory, the iconic Alexander McQueen skull scarf.
I was also very excited to finally be able to wear these ankle boots, which are secondhand Balenciaga that I got for super cheap on Poshmark. Like most of my outfits, this look is almost entirely secondhand. Only the beanie was bought new.
After briefly stopping into that H&M from the above mirror selfie just to document my outfit, I made my way to The Bakeshop on Twentieth for a tasty treat. I then sat in Rittenhouse Square and enjoyed about half of this delicious cherry almond scone, because unfortunately I was not careful and a big chunk of it broke off and dropped onto the ground.
I didn't have any major plans in particular for this day out in Philly, I just felt like eating a pastry in the park and having a wander around the city in my Balenciagas.
I ended my day out with some cheesy potato dumplings and a cocktail at Milkboy on Chestnut Street!
